Question : Make my pc a web server on my network
|
|
I have a wireless D-Link ADSL router with 4 ports. I wish to make one of my pc's plugged into the router a server that serves my web pages to the www. I have configured my server using the tool I downloaded from www.no-ip.com. It allows for a dynamic IP to be used as a server.
How do I configure my D-link router so it directs to my server. When I key in my domain name in IE, it opens up the D-link web page (http://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/webcm)..I want it to go into the pc that is my server, which is running IIS.
Thanks

get the web server ip address example 192.168.1.10 go to d-link web management go to port-forward section forward port 80 from external to internal 192.168.1.10 for this you have to have a static ip address on the external side.
