Question : need to know the difference between "disable recursion" in the advanced tab in DNS VS "do not use recursion" on the forwarders tab in DNS

Hi

What is he difference between"disable recursion" in the advanced tab in DNS, VS "do not use recursion" on the forwarders tab in DNS? what doesn checking/unchecking do for my internal AD DNS servers? I was using forwarders until recently until i started getting a bunch of "The DNS server encountered an invalid domain name in a packet from 66.45.12.196.  The packet is rejected" Event ID 5504 5506 and 3000. I read that if you are getting these erors to no use forwarders. What do you think?

Thanks
