Question : Windows Netmeeting Connection Problem

Hello Experts,

Basically, I am trying to connect my computer to my brother's in another country through netmeeting. I am using a router and he is using a router as well. So, we both got ips starting with 192.168.xxx.xxx, which means I cannot (ofcourse) connect to each other using those ips. Before when he was'nt using a router, his pc has a unique ip which I used to enter in netmeeting and he used to recieve my call but now I can't enter the 192.168 ip because its a LAN ip. Same is when he tries to connect to mine because I'm behind a router as well. How do I connect to my brother's computer through netmeeting? What ip shall I use to connect to his computer? Any help?

Thanks in advance.

Answer : Windows Netmeeting Connection Problem

You will have to enter the EXTERNAL WAN IP address of your brother's router.. and in the router configuration, have port forwarding setup. Visit this website, select his router, then look for netmeeting.
