Question : Exchange 2003 : The recipient could not be processed because it would violate the security policy in force
|
|
We have an Exchange Server that uses SMTP connector to send out email. We were getting email returned because it was being blocked by spam filters. So, we contacted the ISP and they were aware of the problem and advised us to change our SMTP server from mailhost.ind.ameritech.net to smtpauth.sbcglobal.net. I made the change, but when I send an email now, I get the following undeliverable email message back:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: test4 Sent: 4/5/2008 1:17 PM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
Z-(external) D G on 4/5/2008 1:17 PM The recipient could not be processed because it would violate the security policy in force
Could someone tell me what is going on.

Ask smtpauth.sbcglobal.net to provide you the id which has permissions to send email to there smtp box. Configure that id on your smtp boxs do that when your smpt box sends some email to there smtp, there smtp should allow emails form your box.
