Question : CISCO 678 and Linksys WRT54G (WAP/router) Port Forwarding Help

The DSL WAN connection has a static IP.

The CISCO 678 is configured with an inside eth0 of 192.168.10.1.

The Linksys WRT54G is configured with an outside IP of 192.168.10.2, gateway of 192.168.10.1 and an inside IP of 192.168.2

Port forwarding works great when entries are added to the 678 for ports 80 and 22.  Problem is the configuration of the WRT54G.  It is firewalling the ports even after the ports are setup in the "Applications & Gaming" -> Port Range Forwarding area of its configuration.

Any client on the inside of the WRT54G can get to the internet successfully when they point to the 192.168.10.3 as their gateway.

The problem is with attempting to open port 80 and port 22 through the WRT54G.

What am I missing?

Ok, in that case, the best thing would be to bridge the Cisco and let the Linksys handle the traffic directly.  You would need the username, password and the type of connection (more then likely PPPoE) to be inputted in your Linksys under WAN connection type.  Here will tell you  how to bridge your Cisco http://tinyurl.com/3gfy9.
