Question : Static Routes and VPN servers
|
|
Could someone tell me how to setup a static route for my VPN server? The problem is that I can't ping any of my workstations. I am assuming that I must have a routing issue. I have no problems ping the server or once connected, I can use terminal services to connect to the server. But, I can't get past my server. So, it seems as though it may be a routing issue.
Could I setup the satic route on my pc before modifying my Routing and Remote Access server?
THANKS!!

Answer : Static Routes and VPN servers

Static routes does not solve the problem http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windowsserver2003/library/ServerHelp/0332e37c-61da-44fe-9633-4438d37e1902.mspx
See the following link to troubleshoot the problem, "VPN clients are unable to access resources beyond the VPN server" Cause: The LAN protocols used by remote access VPN clients are not enabled to allow access to the network to which the VPN server is attached.
Solution: Configure the LAN protocols used by the remote access VPN clients to allow access to the network to which the VPN server is attached
