Question : Syslog ans SNMP Trap

Are they the same between Syslog and Snmp trap ?
Are they the clear text data ?

If I want to send Syslog from Cisco Router, which commands ?

And also in case of I want to send SNMP Trab from Cisco Router, which commands?

Syslog messages are sent in clear text however if you use SNMP Version 3 on the Cisco router, you can provide authentication and encryption.
