|
|
I have a computer that is not allowing me to remote desktop to it. Remote Desktop is turned on and I am in the Adminstor group on the computer. I have also noticed the following behavior with the computer:
Able to view network drives Able to access internet Able to ping other computers Unable to ping the computer from other computers (ping out but can't ping in) Unable to manage the computer from mmc from other computer or server Unable to remote desktop to the computer from other computers
The firewall is turned off The computer appears in Entire Network for domain but when I double click it I get \\computername is not accessible error message.
The computer is Windows xp sp1 and is on a domain.
How or what do I need to do to allow me to remote desktop to it?

Do you have a cisco VPN client on this machine? Or other similiar client? The STATEFUL FIREWALL in these products may by active prohibiting your being able to access it from across the network.
