Question : How secure is Net Send?

How secure is the Net Send command in MSDos that enables you to talk to two computers?

i.e. Can other people read the messages (such as a computer administrator)?

if your system administrator logs all packets in promiscious mode then yes he will be able to see you message..
BUT
it takes a lot of hdd space to log all packets, and they would only find it if they were looking for it.
it's extremely unlikely that they would find the messenger packets by chance, if they are at all logging which is unlikely unless there's current security problems which have been detected.
And if they do find the messenger packets, odds are they'd ignore it, because it'd be internal traffic and hence not _too_ much of a risk
