Question : DLINK DWL-G710 Range Extender won't work

Hello! I purchased a DLINK-DWLG710 wireless range extender and can't seem to get it to work. WITHOUT even connecting anything the LAN and WLAN lights are solid...and I am not sure if this is an error or not. I read everything about it on the support website. No such luck. When I push the reset button on the back of the device and hold it in for 5 seconds...nothing happens. It just does the same thing.

When I connect the DWLG710 to my Dlink DI-524, I can see the LAN light flutter like it is working but the LAN light on the DWLG710 just stays the same.

I checked on here and can't believe this isn't on here yet.

Any help?

To me it sounds like it's a DOA and you'll have to exchange it, the basic setup with these things is extremely simple; more or less connect and run as you can see in the Install guide:

If you can't even access the web setup of it (192.168.0.30), even after trying to reset it to defaults there's no way for you to even flash the firmware or such.
