Question : What's the esc sequence on Cisco switches?

Hoping this should be a real quickie - when you do a traceroute on a Cisco 2950/3550 switch, it says "Type the escape sequence to abort". For love nor money I cannot find out what that escape sequence is!! Does anybody know?
