Question : Do I pay VAT on american hosting services

If I pay for american website hosting, I am a United kingdom resident - what about the VAT. Would they add it, or do I have to add it, or do I just not have to pay it (yay).

It should be noted that this will be a business expense for me so when it comes to tax, I will be claiming it as an expense, would this change things !

I'm not a legal expert (or VAT expert for that matter) so you may want to consult one, but IMO unless the company is represented internationally (in the EU etc), I don't see how a US based company could collect it.

Though you may be responsible for reporting it?
