Hey all, I'm kind of new at setting up more advanced configurations, so be kind in your answers.. I have been trying for some time now to establish a connection from my laptop, while out and about, unsuccessfully at that. My main desktop at home is behind a netgear wgt624. My desktop is running XP Pro, all firewalls off (at least until I get this working). This is what I did, I went to the add new connection wizard, setup the VPN, receive connections, I'm pretty sure that the software is pretty right on. As for the router, I upgraded all firmware, I don't see an option to enable VPN pass thru, etc.. So I was trying to forward ports (port forwarding). I have PPTP, using TCP & UDP on port 1723~1723, going to my desktop IP. Also, I am forwarding port 500 to it (TCP & UDP). Also, I am forwarding port 47, (TCP & UDP). Is this correct? I don't really know too much about this end of computing, and I have been reading and trying to figure this out by others' settings. Thanks for any help. Also, my provider is road runner, NYC. Paul
