Question : how to assign Static IP in DHCP

Hi,
Really simple one, but I have a netgear wireless router, I have plugged it into my network, and web onto the interface and give it the following IP 192.168.100.50, I then went into DHCP and created a new reservation with the mac/ip address, restarted the server and wifi box and the reservation keeps showing as inactive?
What am I doing wrong?

Answer : how to assign Static IP in DHCP

Hehehe, nothing wrong.
That reservation will turn to active when the device will require an IP from the DHCP server, and the server will give it the IP reserved.
If you keep your device on manual IP, you will never see it as "Active". If you se your device for DHCP, it will request an IP, the DHCP server will give it the reserved IP and the reservation will turn "Active".
If you just want to have a nice view with "Active", reboot the device or force it to require an IP from the DHCP server.
