Question : How to use OpenVPN to setup a proxy between two countries

I often travel and some of the websites I visit do not allow connections from abroad. In the past I have simply used proxies like findnot to connect to these.

However sometimes their IP addresses are blacklisted and neither do I like paying for the service.

Is it possible to use OpenVPN and a computer in that country to set-up a proxy ? So that it seems as though I am actually using that computer in the UK ?

I have never used OpenVPN but it sounds like it can do this, and wondered where I could find out how.

Answer : How to use OpenVPN to setup a proxy between two countries

Basically in the options of your internet browser you can configure the address and port of the proxy server. So here you will put the IP of your computer running a proxy service, you will establish the VPN tunnel to get additional virtual interface (together with some IP address) so you will appear to be on the same LAN as your proxy - thus being able to use it or any other type of service. But keep in mind that in this case will all web traffic go through the proxy server so the browsing may be slower (but this is how proxies work, nothing specific).
