Question : DFS between SBS 2003 and 2008 Server - Possible?

I have a company with 2 seperate domains (not a forest).

One domain is run on a SBS 2003 R2 server. The second is a new 2008 Server (Standard) DC/file server hosting a virtual 2008 Term Server.

I would like to set up a DFS between the shares on the SBS 2003 domain and the Server 2008 domain. I have gotten mixed messages on DFS in SBS 2003 - but have heard after updating the schema that it works well.

This replication would be over a WAN - site to site VPN tunnel (SonicWall)

Anyone use or come across this configuration before? Remember, these are 2 completely seperate domains.

I welcome the input.
Thanks,
-MP

Is there a trust between the domains?   If not I don't believe you will be able to use dfs...

May try something such as robocopy to just copy the files in this way you'd be able to use a mapped drive letter & or have username/password stored for each location!
