Question : Problem with Shadow Copy: Volume E:\ is not eligible for shadow copies.

Hello everyone,

I am having a problem with Shadow Copy on one of my servers. It is Windows Server 2003 set-up as a file and application server. Shadow copy worked fine up until about a month ago. I am not aware of any changes that were made that would have affected it.  It is still working on my "C share", but not on my "E share".  I do have 58 gigs of free space so I don't think it is a space issue.  I do have previous copies, however those should be overwritten as new shadow copies are made. I am at a loss as to what is going on and would really appreciate any insight, words of wisdom, and/or direction anyone can give me.

Thank you in advance!

Answer : Problem with Shadow Copy: Volume E:\ is not eligible for shadow copies.

Did you remove any shares from the E: drive. Shadow copies only works on shared folders.
