Question : Free Captive Portal on Windows Based OS

Hello All,

I'm currently searching for a free windows based Captive Portal to run in my office.  I know there are many for Linux but I really no nothing about configuring linux machines.  I'm looking for the easiest system to implement and would appreciate feedback and recommendations.

I'll consider the Linux, but like i said, it needs to be an easy config.  I haven't touched a linux box in years

Thanks

Answer : Free Captive Portal on Windows Based OS

I've just been looking at a Linux distro called ZoneCD (www.publicip.net). It's not windows based but looks like it can be configurred with minimal Linux knowledge. It's runs on the CD boot Knoppix (www.knoppix.org) so it boots directly to the GUI (after your configuration is saved). I'm looking at implimenting it on an small form factor PC with two network ports to run as a proxy server. Another option in the same vein can be found at www.logicsupply.com where they offer prebuilt systems running m0n0wall (www.m0n0wall.ch). My current thought process has me buying one of their systems that support the firewall product and implimenting the ZoneCD system.
