Question : Load balancing with a Cisco 2600 router
|
|
I'm not familiar with configuring Cisco routers at all but woulld like to know if it was possible to setup a Cisco 2610 router (has one wan, one ethernet, one auxilary and a console port) so that I can load balance from my primary ISP (Cogent) and my secondary ISP (Cypress). The primary is coming straight from Cogent, but the secondary terminates at a router managed by Cypress. What kind of additional card do I have to get to support the router to router WAN connection?
Once I have the hardware setup, is there any king of documentation to follow to setup the load balancing? There will be a Cisco PIX 501 firewall on the inside of the router.

ip route 38.96.140.197
ip route 38.96.140.196 255.255.255.252 38.96.140.197
Actually you wouldn't need it since it is directly connected and the router knows it. Make sure that you verify it on the router by issuing 'sh ip route'
