Question : SBS2003 and Sage Line 50 Version 12 running slow across a network

Created a 3 workstation 1 server network enviroment for a small office running Line 50 version 12. The network works but Line 50 very slow when more than one user logged into Line 50. A fast response would be great!!!!

yea had the same problem you need to install 4 different hot fixes from sage if you gie me your email address i'll send them to you or if you wont the file names are listed below with the instrucations you can search sages web site for the files.

Thank you for your recent request regarding the Sage Accounts v12.00 HotFixes. Note: Before you install this update, you must check your current program version. To do this, from within Sage Accounts, open the Help menu then choose About. If the program version is not v12.00.00XX, please contact Sage Technical Support. After installing these HotFixes the version number is unchanged. To extract these files, you need to have WinZip installed on your PC. If you do not have WinZip, for further information about it or to download a limited period evaluation copy, please visit their website at www.winzip.com Note: Before you install these updates, you should note your installation directory then close Sage Accounts. To check the installation directory, open the Help menu, choose About then from the About window click System Info. The program directory setting appears. Prior to installing these updates you must ensure that Sage Accounts is closed and that you have taken a full backup of your data. If you are using Windows NT/2000/XP you must also ensure that you are logged on as an Administrator. To download and install the Sage Accounts v12.00 HotFixes, please follow the steps below: Double-click the required zip file attachment. From the Opening Mail Attachment window, select Open it then click OK. Follow the on-screen prompts until the Winzip window appears displaying the required file, for example sg501200020.exe. Select the file then click Extract. On the Extract window, browse to and select the required destination for the new file, for example, your desktop then click Extract. Locate and double-click the required file, for example sg501200020.exe. Then when prompted to confirm that you have logged on with administrative rights, click Yes. The InstallShield Wizard window appears. To continue, click Next. The Sage Accounts Update window appears informing you which program folder will be updated. If the correct folder is specified, click Yes. To specify an alternative folder, click No then from the Browse for Folder window locate and select the required folder then click OK. When the installation is complete the Sage Accounts Update window appears informing you that the program was successfully updated, to continue, click OK. Repeat steps 1 to 9 until all the required HotFixes have been installed. You have now successfully installed the Sage Accounts v12.00 HotFixes, these must be installed onto every PC running Sage Accounts v12.00.
