Question : Win2k DHCP console: Exclamation mark next to an address lease

When i'm in my DHCP console, there are a number of leases that have a small '!' in a white circle over the tiny computer symbol.

can anyone tell me what this means?

Answer : Win2k DHCP console: Exclamation mark next to an address lease

That means the client didn't renew the lease - probably because it is offline. After a lease has expired the address isn't returned to the pool immediately - the server waits a while.

Simon.
