Question : unavailable for reconnect

I have a simple home network consisting of 3 computers A, B, and C. They connect through a common workgroup. All are running Windows XP Pro. Everything worked fine until B had a massive disk failure. New disk, clean load of XP, ran network setup and now I have a problem.

With B (the crashed & restored computer) I can access A and C and transfer file back and forth. However, A and C will not talk to B, all though they show B in View workgroup Computers. Offline file status shows that B is "unavailable for reconnect".

How can I get everyone happily talking together.
