Question : SNMP for Sonicwall 4060

I'm trying to set up PRTG to monitor a Sonicwall 4060.  I enabled SNMP in the admin section and configured the host as 192.168.1.50.  The X0 (lan interface) is 192.168.1.1.

I can ping from 192.168.1.50 to 192.168.1.1.

I entered the SNMP string but get an error "cannot connect".  What am I missing?

Answer : SNMP for Sonicwall 4060

I would suggest running Wireshark to make sure the request is leaving the box running PRTG and to see if you get anything coming back.  You might get something coming back that for some reason PRTG does not understand.  I doubt it, but the one thing you don't check is always going to be the problem.

Do you have Sonicwall setup to log all denied packets?  I have not use Sonicwall, can it do a packet trace from it?  Just to make sure it is receiving the query.
