Question : How do I make DNS resolve to one NIC Only?

I have an Windows 2003 server with 2 NICs on the same network.  the name of the server is SRV-MAIL.  The IP addresses are 172.16.1.51 and 172.16.1.94.  Both addresses are registered in DNS as SRV-MAIL.  Both are static IP addresses.  All of the client PC's resolve SRV-MAIL to 172.16.1.94.  I would like 172.16.1.51 to be the primary addresses resolved for this server.  How do I make this happen outside disabling the 1.94 NIC.  I thought about removing the DNS entries on the TCP settings of the 1.94 NIC, but I need it to be able to resolve external addresses?
How do I make 1.51 be the "primary" IP address for this server?

Host records exist for a single resource then DNS will present names to clients as a list, the order of the list is rotated (Round Robin).

You could safely remove the DNS servers from the other NIC, it won't effect name resolution. But it also won't help with the name being added. If you wish to stop the name registering in DNS you might take a look at this KB article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/246804

Under "Forward and reverse per adaptor" since the little tick box in the GUI rarely does what it's supposed to.
