Question : Setting up A, MX, CNAME records for OWA

I have moved our domain name from one supplier to another, we used to have outlook web access with our other supplier but how do I set it up with pur new supplier. I'm not familar with CNAMES or A Records. The previous site we looked at was https:\\mailgate.domainname.com\exchange, what records do I have to set up to get it working with my new isp

Setup 2 records

mailgate.domainname.com
mail.domainname.com

both pointing to your public IP

then setup an MX record to point to mail.domainname.com

you don't use IP addresses for MX records.
