Question : IPX and managed switch

I have TL SG3109 manag4ed switch and I am unable to make it work with IPX protocol. I connect Novell 3.12 server to it, and one client (running xp in this case). It is not the problem with client and server, because I have connect client to server directly \(using crossover cable), I can connect to it successfully. I think maybe the problem lies in that swith is configured with IP address 192.168.1.x (255.255.255.0), so it could possibly be rejecting IPX? I dont seee what else could b the cause, if I replace this switch with some unmanaged switch, everyting works ok.

Answer : IPX and managed switch

The first thing that comes to mind is to make sure the two switch ports are in the same vlan.   You might also want to disable spanning tree protocol, or turn on "fast port enable" (or whatever is equivalent for that switch.  I briefly visited the tp-link web site and didn't see anything in the switch specs that would cause it to not pass IPX packets.
