Question : Windows XP VPN solution

I need to find a cheap way to do VPN to my office.  I setup Windows XP VPN and it works great the problem is that I need to be able to have 4 - 8 connections at once.  Windows XP VPN will only allow one connections at a time.  Is there a cheap way to do VPN into a Windows XP Pro machine connected behind a Linksys Cable router.

As you  have found Windows XP only supports a single VPN connection so you will need to switch to Windows Server 2003, or a much less expensive and probably more versatile option would be to buy a VPN router. With this you would connect/authenticate to the router/network instead of the workstation and will allow many connections. Windows XP also has it's own limit of 10 connected users/devices. The VPN will easily support that. The other issue would be what are the users doing. If connecting to shared files fine, but if connecting and using remote desktop, XP will only support a single user. You would have to install Windows terminal Server to have multiple remote desktop connections.
If interested in the router option have a look at the Linksys RV042 and the Netgear FVS318. Both will accomplish what you want to do and run about $150-$210 US.
