Question : Error in group policy preventing changing of the administrative settings

I am getting the following error when trying to open the administrative settings in the group policy management. "The file "\\servername\SysVol\domain\Policies\{D7086905-F4C8-41B7-ACE6-F00DEBEE9CCA}\User\registry.pol" is not in a valid format. The file might be corrupt. Use Group Policy Object Editor to reconfigure the settings in this extension." When I try to go to the gpo editor it also won't let me do anything to that file. I need to modify the settings but am unable to due to this error. Thanks in advance for the help.
