Question : How to create a VOIP network with ATA186 without CME software

Hello,
is it possible and if yes, how to have a way to call free between several countries having just internet access without PSTN?

Please tell me in details what is the equipment needed in each house, knowing that in each house there will be 1 or 2 phones.

Internet access will be adsl or cable, the modem is already there, so internet is reachable through the Ethernet port of the modem.

Please tell me also how will look like the phone numbers. Will they be real, or it is possible to choose whatever and there will be just some kind of translation between phone number and ip address of the house called?

all the houses will have the same equipment or there will be a central house where the other will connect?

One house has for sure one public static IP address, the other houses have a public IP, but not sure if static or not, so the solution should work with a dynamic IP.

Will it work also with private ip? Is it possible to make also a NAT for internal computers or one internet line should be dedicated to the VOIP only?

You buy ATAs with h323 firware, and change on a router the IOS to gatekeeper IOS, after all phones able to register to the gatekeeper!

the lowest router of cisco is 2610 which knows this feature!

On the remote sides you use cisco 871 which connect to gatekeeper VIA VPN
