Question : Wireless Site Survey Equipment?
I have been doing more and more wireless site surveys and it's just been going by a cheap $80.00 access point and using netstumbler to find the signal then I just move down the hall and repeat. But I was wondering if there was any hardware out there that was good that I could use that would identify noise? I have one office building that I need to find out why the signal isnt going past 3 rooms.
Also I have been using the Cisco Aironet 1000 series access point with a controller to do 6 access points with the same SSID with true roaming capability. Does anyone else have any preference on a managed wireless network with more then 1 access point without using 4-5 different SSIDs?

Hi,
You must use 1,6,11 channels, they are not overlapping!
In my experiences I advise to use Omni antennas.
Try to implement every 10 user a access point!
