Question : BGP firewall
Am trying to find out what equiptment is needed on the CPE side of dual BGP configured T1's. We have 2 T1's and want to be able to get the circuit redundancy of the two lines for both inbound and outbound connections. The ISP Qwest NOC will configure the T1's with BGP for us. No issues there so far. Cannot determine if the SonicWall TZ170 we have will support the CPE side in a BGP switched mode (either WAN to OPT or vice versa). The SonicWall does the outbound load balancing ok (marginal as a load balancer but works), but does not support VLAN or other multiple NIC circuits on any one of it's ports.
If the SoicWall will not support this configuration, what device will (that won't cost and arm and leg to purchase/maintain)? We have all of the major config requirements (DMZ, VPN, multiple circuits, Access, FTP, Website, Mail, remote offices, mobile users, blah blah.) that need to be considered in the solution.
Answer : BGP firewall
If you are looking for FW than look in Juniper supports BGP.
