|
After createing a login script to configure my clients for SUS server, a few of them are generating a the following error message: On a few of my clients I am now getting "cannot import \\MYPDC\netlogon\scrip.reg: Error accessing the registry." Does anyone have an idea on the resolution? The client OS is Win2000 pro and Win98.

un updated wuau.adm policy file should have come with SUS, or can be downloaded. You would open this using Policy Editor and make the relevant changes to facilitate the use of an internal updates server. The file should be saved to the netlogon of your PDC and any other DCs, unless you have replication in place.
You then need to manually modify the registry on your clients so that they pick up the policy file specified (i.e. \\dc\netlogon\xpconfig.pol)
