Question : Exchange 5.2.2 Over quota Error
|
|
Greetings Experts.
Server 2000, All service Packs Installed Exchange 2000 I am having a problem with a user getting e-mail across the internet. Internal send and receive works fine.
If you send a message it will be returned with the following error. Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: Sent: The following recipient(s) could not be reached: [email protected] on Date/Time The message could not be delivered because the recipient's mailbox is full. < Domain #5.2.2 smtp; 552 5.2.2 Over quota>
I have checked the quote limits and all accounts are set to use the default. In AD, the store limits are set to 500mb warn, 600mb prohibit send, and 750mb prohibit send/recieve. This particular mailbox is well under the limit, Another one much larger is working fine. I just had this User Account deleted, so I restored it, and relinked the mailbox. I can get into the mailbox just fine, and he can send just fine, but he can not recieve mail.
I've tried sending mail to itself, and it sends error-free, but i never get a response or an undeliverable. I think this is permissions related, but i can't figure out what permissions it might be, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for any help!

I had similar problems after re-linking a mailbox in exchange. My fix was to export all the users mail to a .pst file, delete the user and mailbox, then setup new user and new mailbox (same username, and e-mail address) then import all of his mail onto the exchange server from the .pst
