Question : how to disable voicemail on an extension IP OFFICE

Good day
      I have an IP Office 4.2. I have an extension/user setup with a voice mail box that I need to disable. I went to the user tab, found the user and then went to voicemail and unchecked voicemail but that didn't help any. How do  I completely disable a voicemail?

Try this once you have accessed your mailbox, press  *19  (Turn Voicemail Off)
(*18 Turns Voicemail On)
