Question : maximum call duration setting in Asterisk

Say, I've heard of very long duration asterisk calls!
How can one guard against this?

Also...you notice it says... (mulitple arguments)... which to me implies that it will still allow RTP setup directly as long as you don't need Asterisk to chime in on the channel with warnings about call limit.

So if you use... exten => 960,2,dial(SIP/960|55|L(1800000)) .... it "may" still allow for direct rtp.
