Question : ROUTING PROTOCOLS
I have a 2800 router connected to a 3560 switch, there is no routing protocol on the router because it is not connected to any other router. My question is, will it hurt anything if a routing protocol is setup on the router? In the router there are several sub interfaces and I know that it should just route what ever it needs to route but will it help the routing process if there is a routing protocol there?
Answer : ROUTING PROTOCOLS
there is need to set a dynamic routing protocol for 1 router. the router learns his direct connected network and the only route you need to add is your default route, which is basically one line static route.
