Question : IP Resubnetting

Experts,

I think I have this correct but wanted to double check.

Running out of ip addresses, need to resubnet.

If my current range is 192.168.100.1-192.168.100.254 255.255.255.0 and I want to resubnet I am planning on dropping it to 255.255.254.0 which will give me a range of 192.168.100.1-192.168.101.254  255.255.254.0
Is this correct?

Yes that is correct
