Question : WAN IP nad LAN BLOCK IP
Dear all,
my ISP have given me the following, i just need to know the difference.
1) WAN IPs x.x.x.x/30
2) LAN BLOCK IPs y.y.y.y/29
I just need to know the difference between, and how they can be use for us?
we definetly need IPs for Web browsing + creating rules on firewall and have our engeneerin connect?
i will appreciate answers?
Answer : WAN IP nad LAN BLOCK IP
Hi,
The WAN ip address is just for the point to point link with your service provider so you'd have this on your interface connecting to the service provider's network.
You could use the LAN block for network address translation.
