Question : Multiple IPs from ISP

I just got 5 static IP's from my ISP.
First IP i used in my router for the internet access.

Now my question is how Can I use the 2nd and 3rd IP to use with my IIS Server to host websites?
Like what kind of changes do i need to do in router or IIS Server?

Thanks

Answer : Multiple IPs from ISP

If you want to want to use all the ip's...

1. (if you have a spare hub or switch) You should have only one connection coming in from your ISP.  Take that connection and hook it up to a hub or switch instead of the router.. then use one port from that hub to your router and the other ports to other PC's or routers using the other statics.  Assign the statics to PC's, and one to router WAN interface.

Be advised that if you are going to connect the hub ports directly to PC's, they will NOT be firewalled and will require software firewalls at the very minimum.

2. (if you have no spare hubs)  You can use router. Here's how...  Plug the ISP's connection into any one of the ports(in other words, NOT the WAN port.) then connect the pc's to the other free non-wan ports. If you have a 4-port router, this should leave three available ports for PC's.  Configure the pc network cards with the static ip's. It does not matter what the router WAN configuration.

Here, NONE of the PC's will be firewalled.  Soft-walls at the very least.

This should allow you to use multiple statics from one connection.

Regards.
