Question : How to implement Citrix over DSL Connection?
|
|
Hi,
I currently have 3 computers plugged into a 10BaseT switch and a Windows 2000 Server w/ Citrix Metaframe for 10 users.
The 3 computer and server are all on the same subnet.
I ordered Qwest Business Class DSL (256KB).
How can I have 10 Remote Access users to be able to connect to the Citrix Server with out me having to have the Server directly connected to the internet(public IP).
Is VPN the answer?

public ip is a must for any vpn solution. how do you think your remote offices be able to see you if you don't have a public address.
i don't know if it is possible to route your connection via your private ip through your DSL. but even if it is possible how do you think your setup will look like? you need to setup a VPN tunnel at your DSL provider's side and all routing back to your database server will be done there? i just don't know.
well good luck.
