Question : Network Permission

Hi,

1. I am used to MAP to a machine to copy their files by using this formula: \\Machine's name\C$
2. I can go to their C: drive
3. I am a member of Domain Administrator
4. But when i want to Map to a computer belonging to a Vice President, the system does not let me in
5. The message is " \\Machine's name\C$ is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to process this command"
6. My question: i) Is the Consultant "doing something" at Active Directory?, ii) If yes, How to make or to create this kind of regulation? (It is just straight forward by modifying "Permission" at Active Directory Users and Computers? or the consultant created a Group Policy Object for this?)
7. Thank you

Tjie

Answer : Network Permission

It is possible that the file permissions have been changed on  the C: drive to remove "administrators" as is there by default. If you know the local administrator password, you could try mapping the drive with alternate credentials.

Also, are you possibly using Norton Anti-Virus?
