Question : WINMSD reports incorrect processor speed in Win2k3 server
|
|
I have an HP N610c (laptop) with an P4 2.4ghz processor. Windows 2003 server (enterprise edition) WinMSD reports my processor as 1196. I am not running intel's speedstep utility.
An identical laptop running Win XP Pro correctly reports the speed as 2400 in winmsd.
any ideas? thanks for any insights. Michael

Oh, fiddlesticks. Forgot that HT didn't start until another series (Mobile Pentium 4 with Hyperthreading Technology) at 2.66. I've looked for about 30 minutes, and can't seem to find anything.
Sounds like it might be a question for M$. Intel seems to think it is. . .
