Question : Unable to browse resources in a trusted domain from XP and 2003 clients

We are seeing some strange browsing issues that Im hoping can be resolved.

We have a mixture of 2003 and 2008 DCs in our domain with the functional level at 2003. We also have a two-way trust with a separate domain and heres where we are seeing issues. Browsing resources in the trusted domain works fine from any Vista, Windows 7 and 2008 machine, i.e. we see the trusted domain listed in the drop down box on the local client. However, try the same from any XP or 2003 machine and the domain isnt listed, i.e. does not appear in the drop down list (e.g. browsing for printers) on the local client.

Any ideas? We are using the same domain account in all instances.

Sorted it - was a DNS issue in the end. We have a strange setup whereby our clients get their DHCP details from servers in another domain and as it stands this other domain's DNS is unware of the domain that we trust...if that makes any sense.
