Question : How to setup wireless home network?

Hi, at home I have a cable modem, which is ran to a linksys wireless router.  The desktop computer sits right next to the router and is connected with an ethernet cord to the router.  I have 2 laptops that are wirelessly connected to the router.  My question is how do I set it up so I can connect to the other computers and share files.  I would also like to set it up so my computer (laptop) is like an administrator and I can control the other computers from my computer.  Any help would be appreciated, thank you very much.
