Could someone simply explain how we get route summarisation again, say we have x y and z networks being advertised but we can use route summarisation to bring them all into one route whats that calulation again ive forgot.

exactly, but when you add the number just add 8 bit you know about this
i mean 11111111 . 11111111 . you have to add the first octet alone.
