Question : Demoting an NT4 server
|
|
My question is this.....
We 'used' to run an NT4 server box with Exchange 5.5 then upgraged to 2003 with exchange '03. All is now well on the new server, which is great. But, I would still like to use the NT4 box as a file/print server or something of that nature. How do I go about demoting the NT4 box so as when i connect it to the new network it doesnt try to take over as a PDC?
Thanks
Adam

I don't believe so. SBS was designed to be THE domain controller. I'm doubtful the setup would even give you the option to make it anything other than a PDC.
