Question : Can't connect via port 993
I'm using IMAP with SSL on port 993 (Vista and Mac OS 10.5.7). For some reason, my mail clients can no longer connect to the IMAP server. I have a Motorola modem/router with firewall and then an Apple Time Capsule for the wireless network. Neither client (Vista or Mac) is running a firewall.
If I disable the Motorola router firewall, the clients can get email. I have port 993 w/TCP outgoing/incoming open in the Motorola router. It is a model SBC900. Any ideas on why the clients claim about a timeout and not being able to connect to the mail server via port 993?
Answer : Can't connect via port 993
Image = firmware software on the Motorola.
