I am taking a Cisco CCVP practice exam and had the following question:

Your company uses a centralized call processing model to connect their saw mills in Albany and Columbus. Each mill is configured as a separate Location in Cisco Unified CallManager at HQ. Each Location has been configured with 256 Kbps of voice bandwidth. How many G.729 calls can be placed between Locations simultaneously?

A. 23
B. 5
C. 16
D. 10
E. 8

They have the correct answer as "D" but I think it should be "E". If we are assuming PPP or FR then I am coming up with 26.8 kbps per call. Which answer is correct?

now the g729 codec is utilizing 16k for one call if you are using Gatekeeper for CAC but if you want to use locations it is 24k for example if someone ask you to allow only 4 calls g729 using the call manager then the bandwidth will be 96 but if it is for example using gatekeeper it will be 64.

for the CVoice question that you have he gave you 256 divided by 24 it will be 10.666666 so the answer is 10
