Question : NDAS Freecom Network drive on wireless network

Hi There,

I've just installed the a Freecom Classic Network drive and it's connected to my wireless hub via an ethernet cable. I've got 3 PC's all with wireless connections and I've installed and mounted the drives on these machines.

Everything is fine, I can access the drive and the general idea is for me to have all my work on this drive in a secure area of the house. I can access the work from any machine in the house.

The only thing my connection light on all my machines is permanantly on. Even the hub lights are allways flashing. Is this normal???

I expected it only to flash when I access the files on the NDAS drive???

Cheers

Mart

Answer : NDAS Freecom Network drive on wireless network

if you are still worried you could always run netstat -a which will show all current network sessions and deduct where the traffic is sent to. this is probably the easiest way of seeing where your PC is connecting to and see what ports it is listening on
