Question : How to install Imanager

I just installed Netware 6.5 eval version, and I am trying to access Imanager to access DNS.  When I click on NWDEPLOY.EXE on the CD, nothing happens.  No error message.   Is there some special trick to installing software?  BTW, I have ZERO experience with Netware, so any advice no matter how basic will be appreciated.  It was rather difficult to get through the install, but I do have network connectivity, and am able to browse the internet, so I don't think it's an installation issue.

Answer : How to install Imanager

Generally, iManager is installed when you install the server. Was it not listed on the installed components when you did the install?

iManager is implemented within a Java VM under a specific instance of Tomcat, accessed thru Apache. In the server's AUTOEXEC.NCF, the lines ADMSRVUP and TCADMUP.NCF load, respectively, the Apache and Tomcat instances for iManager. AP2WEBUP and TOMCAT4.NCF load, respectively, the "user" instances of Apache and Tomcat and are not needed for iManager.

If the ADMSRVUP and TCADMUP.NCF lines are not in AUTOEXEC.NCF, then iManager was not installed. To install, go to the NetWare GUI and run the installer there. This was a change with NetWare v6.5 - install is no longer done from a Windoze workstation.
